Elks Neighborhood Kitchen : Tim Haldeman Trio

Blues- and bebop-based jazz in a variety of styles and forms by this local ensemble led by saxophonist Haldeman. [venue info]

Ravens Club: Ben Jansson Quartet

Wolverine State Brewing Co.: Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys

Lansing swing-flavored bluegrass band fronted by the rich, buoyant, often piercing vocals is singer-songwriter and guitarist Lindsay Lou Rilko. 8:30-12:30 p.m. [venue info]

Woodruff's: Legendary Wings

Local postbop jazz quartet with saxophonist Dan Bennett, electric pianist Matt Endahl, bassist Jordan Schug, and drummer Nick Collins. 6:30-9 p.m. [venue info]

Woodruff's: Matt Jones & the Reconstruction

Local pop-folk band led by Jones, a singer-songwriter with a new CD, The Black Path, that Metro Times reviewer Doug Coombe calls “a beautifully produced and arranged folk- chamber pop record that shares a lot in common with Ann Arbor compatriots Chris Bathgate and the Great Lakes Myth Society.” Opening acts are The High Strung, a Brooklyn (MI) trio that plays dark, crafty pop with psychedelic overtones, and Pioneer, a Madison (WI) Americana folk-rock band.
