Soulful acoustic rock and blues covers and originals by this local singer-guitarist. [venue info]

The Blind Pig: One Be Lo

Local hip-hop MC, also known as One Man Army. Opening acts are Yin and other local hip-hop MCs TBA. [venue info]

The Circus: Red Sea Pedestrians

Kalamazoo neo-klezmer sextet of singer-songwriters and multi- instrumentalists who blend traditional klezmer music with a host of other styles. [venue info]

Elbow Room: The Great Lakes Myth Society

Local folk-rock sextet whose music is an eclectic mix of Appalachian music, prog-rock, and sea shanties. Opening acts: Black Jake & the Carnies is an Ypsilanti octet that calls its energetic, foot-stomping blend of punk, old-time music, and bluegrass “crabgrass.” All Music Guide writer Steve Leggett calls it “a kind of raucous acoustic Americana that tosses postmodern Appalachian murder ballads, Irish drinking songs, skewed, twisted love songs and general cautionary tales into a stylistic blender that has them sounding like nothing so much as a maverick, hopped-up punk polka band in full 21st- century everything-fits jug band mode.” Theodore is a St. Louis quartet led by singer-songwriter Justin Kinkel-Schuster that plays country-folk Americana with a distinct Mexican flavor. Jim Roll, isa nationally prominent local singer- songwriter known for his barbed alt-country-flavored folk- rockballads and love songs. [venue info]
