May 1: Alcoholic Oracles

Concord (MI) country-based blues-rock duo. Opening acts are Kyle Brown, an acoustic blues and rock fingerstyle guitarist from Lansing, and Mistaken for Satellites, a Flint alternative rock quintet.

May 3: Wax Kings!

Ypsilanti hip-hop DJ collective. Opening acts TBA.

May 4: The Blue Rubys Blue Rubys

Reunion of this classy local almost-all-female country-rock quintet. Opening acts are Scotty Karate, a one-man postpunk honky-tonk rock ’n’ roll band from Chelsea, and Stickfight, a Chicago postpunk rock ’n’ roll quintet.

May 5: “Boylesque”

Drag show.

May 7: “Acoustic Open Mike”

All acoustic musicians invited. Hosted by local singer-songwriter Erik Santos.

May 8: Champions of Breakfast

Opening acts are the Flint country-rock quartet The Marietta, the Ypsilanti hip-hop collective Green Sky Productions, and the Flint alternative rock quartet Brother Apollo.

May 10: “May Days Festival”

With the local retro garage rock ’n’ roll band The Beggars, the Detroit experimental hip-hop ensemble Passalacqua, the local alt-country honky-tonk and rockabilly band Ryan Racine & Gas for Less, the Detroit retro hard-rock quartet Let’s Scare Mary to Death, the Detroit indie surf-pop trio The Philter, the Detroit postpunk rock ’n’ roll quartet All the Wild Children, the Hamtramck crunk band Pewter Cub, the Detroit experimental garage rock band Odd Hours, and the Detroit rock band Pretty Ghouls. 8 p.m.-2 a.m.

May 11: Dragon Wagon

Highly regarded local acoustic roots-music sextet that calls its music “bluegrass folk-rock with a touch of Irish whiskey.” Opening acts are BlackJack on Pluto, a local postpunk folk-rock quartet, and Old Foresters, a Mount Pleasant quartet that lays an eclectic mix of roots rock, country, bluegrass, and jazz.

May 12: Simple Machine

Local alternative pop-rock quintet. Opening acts are the Pinckney experimental psychedelic-rock quintet Boherald, the Detroit acoustic Celtic rock duo Shattered Sky, and Kreation.

May 14: “Acoustic Open Mike”

All acoustic musicians invited. Hosted by local singer-songwriter Erik Santos.

May 14: Deniz Tek

Postpunk rock ’n’ roll band led by this Ann Arbor native who made a name for himself in the 70s as the leader of the pioneering Australian punk band Radio Birdman. Opening acts are the southern California punk-rock band Godoy Brothers, the local rock band Blue Snaggletooth, the Ypsilanti Detroit-style rock ’n’ roll trio Disinformants, and Cactusk, a local rock trio that calls its music “catchy noise.”

May 15: Algernon

Westland-area arena rock band. Opening acts are the Livonia rock ’n’ roll band 5th Wall Concept, the Grand Rapids grungy blues-rock quartet Devin & the Dead Frets, the Ypsilanti indie folk collective Walk Your Bike, and the local hardcore band The Wild Ones.

May 17: The Afternoon Round

Local Americana rock band. Opening acts are Gold, a Toledo funk-soul dance band, and Flashing Blue Lights, a Grand Rapids indie folk-rock duo.

May 18: “Elbow Deep”

Drag show and gay and lesbian dance night hosted by Maxi and Jennifer of the House of Chanel, with a DJ TBA.

May 19: Mitch Bradford

Local rock ’n’ roll singer originally from Brownsville (TX). Opening acts are the Washington, D.C., psychedelic blues-rock band Paperhaus, the Plymouth acoustic roots music trio Cold Tone Harvest, and the Ypsilanti indie rock band The Vagrant Symphony.

May 21: “Acoustic Open Mike”

All acoustic musicians invited. Hosted by local singer-songwriter Erik Santos.

May 22: Red Stone Souls

Detroit psychedelic blues-rock garage quartet. Opening acts are The Ryan Yunck Band, a local progressive metal-rock fusion band, and The MadHouse Gossip, an Ypsilanti rock trio.

May 24: Alexis

Grand Rapids synth-pop duo.

May 25: Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor

Local psychedelic-blues garage quartet. Opening acts are the Detroit rock quartet Nam Nook & the Typhoon, the local horn-driven retro funk octet Third Coast Kings, and the Monroe blues-rock band Cetan Clawson.

May 26: Paul Samotis

Detroit pop-folk singer-songwriter and fingerstyle guitarist. Opening acts are Native Signal, a Detroit acoustic alt- country quartet, and Erik the Viking, a Rochester (MN) singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist whose engaging story songs draw on a mix of folk, old-time, blues, jazz, and hip-hop musical idioms.

May 28: “Acoustic Open Mike”

All acoustic musicians invited. Hosted by local singer-songwriter Erik Santos.

May 29: Blue Snaggletooth

Local rock band that includes members of Mazinga and other area bands. Opening acts are the Ypsilanti minimalist hardcore band Minus9, the local stoner doom metal trio Wizard Union, and Las Drogas, an Ypsilanti band that plays loud, raucous, melodic, bluesy, surf-guitar psychobilly.

May 31: Nicole P’Simer

Livonia acoustic folk-soul singer-songwriter. Opening acts are Dave Johnson, an Ypsilanti singer-songwriter, and Treading Bleu, a Kalamazoo indie folk-rock quartet.

June 8: “Sips & Songs” "Sips & Songs"

Performances by several prominent southeastern Michigan singer- songwriters, including Bill Edwards, Joel Palmer, Sigrid Christiansen, Dave Boutette, Dan Hazlett, Bob Skon, Jeff Scott, Lisa Pappas, Angela Predhomme, Jennifer Smith, Mark Jewett, Jamie-Sue Seal, Dave Rossiter of Hoodang, and John Natiw of Potter’s Field. Emcee is 107.1 Treetown Sound host Matt Altruda. A benefit for the Book Industry Charitable Foundation (formerly Borders Foundation). $40 ($100 includes dinner) includes a drink ticket & snacks. Silent auction, 7-11 p.m.
