Performance by this Wisconsin pop-folk singer who has a warm yet commanding voice. Her new album, Canary in a Coal Mine, has been praised for its “exquisite lyrical craftsmanship” by a Pop Matters critic. “Vogelzang’s incredible vocal range [evokes] everyone from Regina Spektor to Ani DiFranco, shifting between delicate lilt and evocative howl at will.”
