The Michigan Chapter of the Women’s Caucus for Art presents “Man Up!”, a national multi-media exhibition that visualizes the essence of power and the notion of “besting” oneself, other artists or men in general. This exhibit features work of women artists including celebrity artist/juror and native Detroiter Suzy Lake.Artists Reception Friday, July 20, 6-9 p.m.

Every Fri.-Sun., June 1-Sept. 2. Costumed guides lead tours of the 10-room artifact-filled farmhouse and its outbuildings, including a recently refurbished blacksmith’s workshop. Also, on June 2 & 3 only, “Wetplates at Waterloo,” demonstrations by Wayne photographer Greg Schultz who uses a Victorian-era camera to photograph costumed volunteers and develops the photos on site using the wet plate process. Note: the wet plate process requires fair weather. Demonstrations canceled if weather is inclement.

Opening reception for this exhibit that runs July 27-Sept. 2. It includes works by young professionals whose jobs leave them feeling creatively unsatisfied. The works are described by the curator as "whimsically indulgent."
