Every Thurs., June 7-Aug. 16. Musical entertainment on 9 stages downtown, as well as Three Generations Entertainment with balloons and other activities for kids. The weekly musical program also includes an open mike stage. Also, street performers, a juried sculpture walk, and food vendors. The music is followed at dusk by “SRSLY Cinema,” screenings of teen-friendly movies at the Clocktower Commons.
June 7: Dee Dee the Clown, the veteran Ann Arbor Cuban jazz ensemble Trio Tumbao, Grass Lake spiritual balladeer Matthew Danko, the Chelsea garage blues band Bull Halsey, the local blues band The Bluescasters, the local blues-flavored acoustic folk-rock band Dorkestra, and the versatile calypso and reggae ensemble Rhythm on a Stick Steel Drum.
June 14: Dee Dee the Clown, pop-rock singer-songwriter Clare Cavicchio, the local Sweet Adelines women’s chorus Voices in Harmony, the Grand Rapids pop-rock band Kelsey Rottiers & the Rising Tide, the Ferndale psychedelic honky-tonk singer-songwriter duo Some Velvet Evening, and the Manchester Cajun & Creole quintet Creole du Nord. Followed by Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid.
June 21: A2 Magic magician Jeff Wawrzaszek, the Ann Arbor self-styled “lounge-a-billy” band The Shelter Dogs, the beloved veteran Chelsea-bred rock 'n' roll singer-songwriter Frank Allison, the Ypsilanti-based Caribbean jazz ensemble Tropicooljazz, the Chelsea rock ’n’ roll band Coconut Radio, the Dundee acoustic rock cover duo Last Exit, and the Detroit roots-reggae band One Love. Followed by Horton Hears a Who.
June 28: A2 Magic magician Jeff Wawrzaszek, the South Lyon acoustic country-rock trio Seven Bridges, Ann Arbor singer-songwriter Anna Elizabeth Schwartz, the Chelsea bluegrass and traditional American string quartet North Creek Fiddlers, the local country-rock trio Cold Tone Harvest, the Manchester alternative metal octet Silver Lining, and the Saginaw rock ’n’ roll cover band Mysterians. July 5: Dee Dee the Clown, the highly regarded Downriver bluegrass and hard-country band Bill Bynum & Co, square dancing with caller Marvin Reuter, the Ann Arbor American roots music singer-songwriter Dave Boutette, the Chelsea garage blues band Bull Halsey, the versatile Ann Arbor acoustic jazz, swing, country, pop, and folk trio Isosceles, the Ann Arbor alt-country band Corndaddy, and the jazz ensemble Zero Gravity Band.
