Learning to Love Opera—OLLI Study Group: Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at U-M (50+).

This course prepares participants for HDTV satellite broadcast of live opera performances from the Metropolitan Opera House during its 2012 season. The format includes observation and discussion of related opera performances (DVDs), feature and documentary films, and occasional guest lectures by University of Michigan faculty. A syllabus is available online at www.univliving.com. Instructor: Richard Adelman.
Continuing class starts February 11 for new registrants. Class meets Mondays and Tuesdays, thru April 23, 2013. Contact office for specific dates.
