Our premier, comprehensive childbirth class is designed for pregnant women and their partners who prefer a more condensed format. This in-depth, interactive 6-hour series meets either all-day Saturday or two consecutive Sunday afternoons or two consecutive Monday nights. The series covers a wide range of topics in-depth based on Lamaze International's Six Healthy Birth Practices, including: •the various stages of labor, birth, and early postpartum;; •relaxation and breathing techniques, comfort measures and positions for labor and delivery; •partner's role with laboring mom; •pain management options and birth interventions; hospital procedures, and Cesarean birth. All of our childbirth educators are highly trained, active in the birth community and are Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educators (LCCE). This program will raise awareness of the signs of suicidal thinking and describe ways to offer support and obtain help for people who may be contemplating suicide. Participants will learn how to recognize suicidal thinking, reach out and offer support to others contemplating suicide, obtain help when suicidal thoughts are present, and access local and national suicide prevention and intervention resources.
