Nature Via Nurture: Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at U-M (50+).

  community member

We will read and discuss the book “Nature Via Nurture: Genes, Experience, and What Makes Us Human” by Matt Ridley, an English writer and scientist. It was published in 2003 after the results of the International Genome Project were announced. Ridley describes the science involved in the nature/nurture debate and brings in wide ranging examples on both sides of the debate. Participants will enjoy learning new facts and under- standing more widely known facts in this long-standing controversy.
Class meets Mondays, June 4 - July 9
Facilitator: Esther Rubin
Registration is required. All OLLI events are open to anyone over age 50 with a $20 annual OLLI membership.
Turner Senior Resource Center, 2401 Plymouth Rd (48105). $35. 734-998-9351. germedoll@umich.edu www.olliumich.org [map]
