The Sky Tonight (11:30 a.m. Sat., 1:30 & 3:30 p.m. Sat. & Sun., and 11:30 a.m. & 1:30 p.m. Mar. 29 and Apr. 1-5) is an exploration of the current night sky.

Flight Adventures (Sat. 12:30 p.m.) is an audiovisual show examining the science of flight through the eyes of a young girl and her grandfather as they explore how birds, kites, planes, and models fly and learn about the history and future of human flight.

Black Holes (Sat. & Sun. 2:30 p.m.) is an animated show that begins with the formation of the early Universe and the birth and death of stars and concludes with a simulated flight to a supermassive black hole lurking at the center of the Milky Way.

Larry Cat in Space (12:30 p.m. Mar. 29 and Apr. 1-5 only) is a playful cartoon about an inquisitive cat that learns more than it wanted to know about life in space when it stows away on a shuttle to be with its owner, a scientist on her way to the Moon.

Connections is a place for babies and those who care for them to meet and enjoy one another. We encourage new and expecting parents, grandparents, and nannies to come enjoy the benefits of getting to know others who have recently birthed or who are caring for babies or young children. Other caregivers are a wealth of support and information, and Connections is designed to be a place where you can share, and glean from others.
Some of the groups will also feature a brief class from a Hygeia practitioner. These sessions will offer information that will enhance your well-being or skills as a caregiver, benefiting you and your baby! All Hygeia practitioners believe in the importance of strong joyful attachment between caregivers and babies, and are skilled in various ways to enhance your health, overall wellness, and understanding of your baby.

There will be no formal instruction at these drop-in sessions. Ann Arbor Ringette will be there to go over rules for new people and to make sure players understand how to play, answer questions, etc. You can always join Ann Arbor Ringette if you want more instruction.

"Beyond Scale": UMMA/U-M School of Music.

Performances of new works inspired by the creative process of Florencia Pita, an artist whose work is currently on display at UMMA. U-M horn professor Adam Unsworth performs Kevin Ernste's Nisi for horn and electronics. Local soprano Jennifer Goltz premieres a work by University of Indiana professor (and U-M grad) John Berners in which a single line of text is sung, fragmented, breathed, spoken, explored, and shouted. U-M grad student ensemble Latitude 49 performs new works influenced by minimalism. Multimedia artist Carlos Garcia is joined by Goltz in the premiere of a new work that incorporates voice, electronics, and improvisation.

Keith Paul Medelis directs this local company in the premiere of Jason Sebacher�s adaptation of Edward II, Marlowe�s tragic history play about a na�ve young king whose reign is sabotaged by his obsession with his banished lover.In this version, Edward is an incorrigible party boy, not ready for the call of adulthood, who crashes in his late father�s basement with his disreputable boyfriend, pushing to the breaking point the patience of his ambitious wife. Mar. 28-31: U-M theatre professor Kay Walker Castaldo directs U-M opera students in Richard Strauss�s popular opera-within-an-opera about 2 groups of musicians�one a burlesque troupe and one an opera company set to perform a serious opera about the Cretan princess Ariadne after her abandonment by Theseus on Naxos�who are summoned as after-dinner entertainment to the home of the richest man in Vienna, where they are required to present their performances simultaneously. The result is an improbable but satisfying merger of slapstick hilarity with gorgeous music.

�Good People�: Performance Network Professional Season.

David Wolber directs the Michigan premiere David Lindsay-Abaire�s Tony-nominated 2011 comic drama, a touching and funny look at America�s large and growing economic divide. A dollar store employee in working-class Boston who loses her job and faces eviction from her apartment. In desperation, she reaches out to a high school boyfriend who had made it out of the neighborhood and invites herself to a chic cocktail party in his home. Stars Suzy Regan and Logan Ricket. Tobin Hissong directs this local professional company in Ken Ludwig�s comedy of errors about opening night at the fictitious Cleveland Grand Opera Company. The star, a world-famous tenor known as �Il Stupendo,� arrives too late to rehearse and then passes out and is taken for dead. Another singer is persuaded to pose as him, but trouble starts when Il Stupendo comes to and tries to reclaim his role.
