Stroller Strides of Ann Arbor provides a 60 minute total body workout for moms of stroller-age children (approx. 6-weeks to 4 years). The workout is appropriate for moms of all fitness levels and combines a power walk with intervals of toning and cardio. We use exercise tubing, the environment (e.g., benches and stairs), and the stroller for a fun and social exercise program. Children remain in their strollers, but are involved in the workout with songs and creative drills. We're adding a new location to our class line-up and would love to have you celebrate with us! Briarwood Mall, 100 Briarwood Circle. Free. jordannelson@strollerstrides.net http://bit.ly/SSA2FREEWEEK [map]
The Life of Pine art show with pastels and watercolors by Ypsilanti artist, Dennis Gordon will be at Ypsilanti’s Whittaker Road Library until January 30. The theme of the art show is the life and times of an Eastern White Pine tree. The show chronicles the dangerous and dramatic life of a pine tree. While one might not think of a pine tree’s life as all that exciting, it is filled with uncertainties and whether the pine tree recognizes it as such, plenty of beauty and drama pass before it.
