About Town with OLLI offers exciting opportunities to meet interesting people, while enjoying the Ann Arbor area�s numerous entertainment, dining and cultural events.

Join the Ann Arbor Chapter of Amnesty International for our monthly meetings! We will be planning human rights events, signing petitions, and keeping up to date on important human rights issues! We are in the process of preparing for a Jamnesty Event to be held on 9/22/12. We are also looking into local volunteer opportunities that we can do as a group.

The Fred Eaglesmith Traveling Steam Show: The Ark.

This acclaimed Canadian country-rock singer-songwriter is known for brilliantly realized tales of rural and small-town life that are alternately dark, tender, terrifying, and savagely hilarious and are brought to life by canny rhythmic and melodic settings that draw freely on a variety of idioms from folk and bluegrass to rockabilly to dissonant avant-rock. His 2010 CD Cha Cha Cha adds a strong dose of moody Tom Waits-style late-night balladry, and his latest CD, 6 Volts, draws on the spirit of the era when the transistor radio generation keyed into the electricity of fusing rock �n� roll with country and Southern roots. He performs tonight with his full band.
