Penelope Salinger is a member of one of The Threshold Choirs in California...As a friend, she has introduced me to what they are about, and to this site. I'm very interested in starting a Threshold Choir in this area (Mid-Michigan), so please contact me with information that would be helpful in helping me get started. This is brand new to me, and I'm in the very beginning of putting this together. I love the idea, and what it means to others. It has touched my heart, and feels like God is calling me to it. I am not a professional singer, but I have, in the past, been in choirs in church years ago. I know what harmonizing sounds like...it's heavenly and very soothing. A hospice nurse was visiting at my mother's beside in her home when I was there with her, and she was in the late stage of life (medicated to where she was in a light sleep all of the time) and the nurse began to sing to her a sweet light song, very softly, and my mother responded by caressing my hand as I was holding her's. It was lovely and touched me deeply. It was the last response I felt from my mother, and it was wonderful. I was so thankful and told
