Screaming Yellow Building

Q: What is the screaming yellow unfinished building visible from westbound I-94 between the State St. and Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. exits, and what is its status? I'm curious, but not curious enough to get off the freeway before my Jackson Rd. exit to investigate--not that I'd learn much by just looking at it.

A. The screaming was silenced when further construction covered the insulation on what will be a Towne Place Suites by Marriott. Sharing its eight-acre site is another hotel under construction, a Hilton Garden Inn--you may have noticed its shouting purple insulation.
