Those misleading airport temperatures

If you watch the weather on Detroit TV, you might think the twenty miles between Ann Arbor and Metro Airport really put us in the deep freeze. Reported temperatures in Ann Arbor often come in ten degrees colder, or even more, than the official Detroit reading at Metro. One morning during January’s cold snap, Metro reported a temperature of 6 degrees above zero.
