Merely Brilliant

To call an orchestra "merely brilliant", and to use words like "tight" to describe an ensemble before one hears even a tone, sounds to me like bluffing in a game of Poker. Looking at the program itself makes one nauseated- the same old "classic favorites". The NYP never steps out of its comfort zone- whatever director it falls under. Time to acquire some humility and look beyond oneself!
