A franchise vanishes on W. Stadium

The KFC on West Stadium closed at the end of June. "For questions/concerns call 971-6130" said a sign liberally plastered on windows, doors, and the drive-through menu. That's the phone number of the KFC franchise at 4040 Washtenaw, now the only local option for the brand-loyal diehards (somewhat nearby, Little Porky's on Dexter does fried chicken, as well as fried catfish). But the manager, Abdul, wasn't prepared to answer a question about why the West Stadium KFC had closed: "I can't give out any information about that," he says.
